Fashion Week has hit Miami and everyone is buzzing about swimwear 2014. For those of you who just recently became bikini lovers, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week comes to Miami every summer to show off the up and coming swim 2014 collections, announcing new trends and new designers for the year. It’s a huge weekend for buyers and swimwear designers alike, and as my always boss says, it’s not for the faint of heart!

The fashion show schedule has been released and my bikini brain is going crazy. To kick off the fashion-filled weekend isAgua Bendita Swimwear. Everyone was talking about the embellished brand this spring because of their new 2014 model:Kendall Jenner. Who doesn’t love a Jenner, even if she isn’t a Kardashian! I have a feeling this new line is going to really embrace feminine prints and silhouettes. If you’re a VIP, catch their show on Friday, July 19th at 6PM at Cabaña Grande.

Beach Bunny Swimwear, known for its risky silhouettes and one-of-a-kind embellishments, is bringing sexy back with their show on Friday, July 19th at 10PM at Cabaña Grande. I look forward to seeing the exceptional designs of Angela Chittenden, founder and designer of the brand, walk down the runway. I can always count on her to make my bikini look like I’m wearing jewelry.

Get your bongos out and your rain dance ready because Mara Hoffman is starting the shows on Saturday, July 20th at 8PM at Cabaña Grande. I know this tribal-loving lady will stay true to her ethnic designs. The question is, what trends will she start this season?!

The ViX Paula Hermanny show will always have a special place in my heart because it was the first swim show I ever saw. I was a little intern stuffing gift bags minutes before the show, but I still made sure to watch the whole thing. ;) The gold bling and demure silhouettes still have me hypnotized. She will bring the ambiance from wild to classy, showing after Mara Hoffman at 9PM at the Oasis on Saturday.

L*Space by Monica Wise is the show many fringe lovers and California babes wait for year ‘round. Two collections a year just aren’t enough for L*Space fans! I know Monica will stay loyal to her fringe silhouette, but how will she freshen it up? This year it was all about the knotted detail. I guess we will just have to wait and see on Sunday, July 21st at Cabaña Grande.

If there was a production that shouldn’t be missed during swim week, it’s definitely Luli Fama. The designer, Lourdes ‘Luli’ Hanimian, takes pride in making her fashion show a SHOW. I still have a good time when I watch the videos from last year. Expect the best from Luli Fama: sexy bottoms and mixed prints. She never creates a dull bikini!

Everyone should give Maaji Swimwear a friendly welcome because it is their first year hosting a fashion show at swim week in Miami. This is one of those brands that I lose sleep over. What reverse fabric will they come up with next year?! I should tell my readers now that I recently purchased my first Maaji. And even though I have not been to the beach in a couple of weeks, I have tried it on multiple times while prancing around my room. It’s just what you do when wearing a Maaji, duh. They will end Sunday night with a show at 10PM at Cabaña Grande.
